Christmas Lunch in Great Missenden

Each Christmas Day there is a lunch followed by entertainment and carols at Great Missenden Baptist church for people who would normally be on their own.
If anyone is able to be involved this year, we will need :-
Helpers on Christmas Eve from 2 pm – 4 pm approx. preparing vegetables, setting up and decorating tables.
Helpers on Christmas Day from around 12.15 pm until about 3.30 pm. Jobs include giving out labels for guests and their coats, welcome team, table hosts, servers, waiters, and kitchen assistants, washing up, loading dishwasher etc. This is done on a rota basis, and the helpers normally sit and eat with the guests.
We also value help in clearing up at the end when the helpers are tired.
So far this year, we are still looking for a Cook, and kitchen assistants. They would need to be at the Church earlier on Christmas morning.
We usually cook for about 65 people including helpers.
If anyone would like to help in ANY capacity, please get in touch with MAry Spooner through the Church Office.
Although it is very early, you might consider whether you have any neighbours who might be on their own, and who would enjoy sharing the day with us. If they have serious mobility problems, they would need a carer to come with them. (It is a long walk up the drive, even to get into the church Hall !)
Donations are of course welcome.
If someone feels that this is the sort of event they would like to help organise, and oversee on the day, please let us know!
