Families

Families at Great Hampden

CC1Families with children are welcome at all our services at Great Hampden.

We have special Family Services once a month, where the children play a special role by welcoming people to church, reading, leading the prayers and taking the collection amongst other things.

At our other services children are welcome to sit with their parents, or to make use of our Children's Corner. Children's Corner has some lovely story books, crafts and colouring books so that the youngest members of the church are as comfortable as the rest of us.

CC2Many couples who were married at Great Hampden, or families that have moved into the area, have their children baptised in church. There are local families whose links with St Mary Magdalene's go back many generations, and we are always delighted when new families make this their family church.

Safeguarding

The care and protection of children, young people and vulnerable adults involved in Church life is the responsibility of the whole Church. Everyone who participates in the life of the Church has a role to play in promoting a Safer Church for all. Here is a link to our Safeguarding Policy, which is renewed every year.
