Our Vision

We want to be a welcoming church for the 21st century, offering a place for people to encounter God in their lives.

Whilst retaining the character of our historic building with some simple changes, we are creating an exciting space for worship, pilgrimage, music and the arts. Please support our '2023 and Beyond' appeal.

Great Hampden '2023 and Beyond' Project Update

Redecoration to go ahead

25k_stickerr1We are delighted to have received a generous grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Using money raised by National Lottery players, The National Lottery Heritage Fund supports projects that connect people and communities with the UK’s heritage. Our redecoration is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we will be able to complete the redecoration of the church before Christmas, as well as improve access to the tower.

Our Work is Not Over

We have discovered a void under the sanctuary floor. This is the result of rubble under the screed settling over the years. You can see from the photograph that there is a large gap below the tiles, which are supported by a only a thin layer of concrete.

It means this part of the church is currently out of use, and we are investigating how to remedy it.

We are also fundraising for stackable chairs, new seat cushions for the pews, and the other equipment we need to make the most of our church building.

How can you help?

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Please can you make a commitment to support our appeal with a monthly pledge for the next three years?

Please use our Project Prayer in your own prayers as part of your support:
